Back in the saddle...

So it has been quite some time since I last made an entry, so many exciting things have happened: I got a new position as a watch buyer, moved to Jo'burg, discovered new places, got a new set of wheels for this urban jungle and a dishwasher ... it might seem lame but the dishwasher is sort of the best part of it! As I hate washing dishes, and the idea that I don't ever have to wash another cappuccino cup makes me the happiest puppy in the world!

Our view from our bed in our new home

Just to illustrate to you how time has passed since our last chat, have a look at how our friends' puppies have grown in just a few months' time, they are huge animals now!

Here they are just a few weeks old

And look now... the size of little lions!

I am loving watches, and my new job even though challenging... I especially like this new Guess floral watch. I would not have ever thought that I would love a Guess watch but I do and I want it at once for Summer! Summer please come already, so tired of winter now and some colour in my life.

So hot right now!

I must say staying in Mulbarton, I don't miss the dirty air of Sasolburg. I have an actual view now of greenery, hills and me and my Sweetheart are living happily in our new place. With many a braai being enjoyed at sunset braai on our big stoep.

Our new stoepie

And lots of steak

with some delicious ribs

We have discovered a few places here such as our new favourite place to shop, Melrose Arch. It feels like V&A Waterfront and ZOMG, they have a Häagen-Dazs and a Vida e Caffe! Yay, a Vida, finally!

Haagen-Dasz at Melrose Arch ... so much of yumbo

I always share my favourite things and lately these are kiwi's, ClemenGold mandarins from the juice to the actual fruit, Cayenne pepper, giant jalapeno's and a Spencer bear every once and a while!
We are spoilt with a fresh fruit and flower shop that is just around the corner and a cheese shop with an Italian deli...Deliciously and dangerously close by, I love cheese too much, way too much!

Kiwi's with slicer tool for free, love free stuff

Giant jalapeno's

Cayenne pepper in cute bags with scoop

ClemenGold mandarins

All my friends are sending me their baby pics and they've all become new mommies. But I will stick to havin' my puppies one day :)

Some more baby and mommy pics

I just want a baby panda

If it comes in panda then maybe this one :)

But for now I am just running from one meeting/deadline to the next, doing the best I can, learning a lot and building a strong team...and looking forward to the weekend where I can spend lazy days in the arms of my Sweetheart and make up for the time apart during the week.

My weekends

Me on a Thursday...

Me after doing Monday figures and analyzing sales...

Until next time, have a great weekend and if in doubt, just ask yourself a simple question: "But does it come in panda?" If it does, then you know it is the right decision and you must have it at once!

Does it come in panda?

As promised I will share with you why I like pandas so much.
It all started one evening when googling images of cute little pandas to make me smile after a not so hot day at the office. It then became the pet name of my sweetheart. 'Till it eventually became an obsession...and on one occasion when visiting a local Chinese owned bargain store on a constrained budget near our work place, with my friend Shanaaz, it evolved into a saying. As we wandered through the store excitedly bargain after bargain, we needed to find a mechanism to control our shopping urge. There had to be some logic and restraint, as we were bound to walk out with bags of unneccessary goods, I started to ask: "But does it come in panda?" (because I am obsessed with pandas and need to have panda merchandise). If the answer was yes then I needed to have it at once (as Shanaaz would say)...It seemed to help us make the right buying decisions. We didn't find what we initially looked for but at least we ended up leaving with only a cell phone cover (I think), I might have bought some little note books with pandas on them. A note book always comes in handy....

The point is that I love pandas because they are just dang cute!

They are beautiful, majestic, unique, furry, playful, adventurous little creatures. Not the mention the most commercialized little animals that are the main feature on a series of business logo's and retail products.

Can you cope with the amount of cuteness below? I can't

"I didn't take the last cupcake it was the panda kitteh...really"
Hugging pandas
Panda in the mist
"Will you be my friend?" Yes I will!
They greet:

The below indeed comes in panda:

Panda locksmiths - for real
Panda shirt
Travel in panda style

Apparently there are panda cats out there...

"Meeoouw panda"

and little cra-cra pandas

Pandas always smash the floor gangnam style

Because they are fancy...

Pandas are laid back:

Dang they're cute! There there little one, there there.

"I'm sorry I ate the last cupcake"

So why do you like pandas?
